Penn Twp Compressor Station Zoning Board Hearing (with Opportunity for Public Comment)

Hyperion and Olympus have proposed a shale gas compressor station in Penn Twp. People living around Compressor Stations tend to have higher rates of respiratory problems, and asthma especially in children, older adults and people with heart or lung disease. Compressor Stations during regular operation make noise comparable to 4 locomotive engines, and at times as loud as a jet engine. Worse, Hyperion and Olympus are planning to store radioactive fracking waste at this specific compressor station.

If you want to give public comment you must:

• Must be a resident of Penn Township;
• Must attend the hearing;
• Keep your comment to 3 minutes per person
• There will be a “sign up” sheet at the entrance to the hearing room. Write your name, address and, what you want to speak about.
• When your name is called, approach the podium, state your name and address and your public comment.
