About the Event
Are you living in Westmoreland and receiving your water from MAWC (Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County)?
We invite you to attend our upcoming meeting to learn where we are in our campaign from a year ago to now, concerning our efforts to promote better protections from consumptive use during periods of drought.
Did you know that fracking a single well can consume between 1.5 to 9.2 million gallons of water? Many operators located in Westmoreland County draw this water directly from the Beaver Run Reservoir, which also supplies drinking water for almost 150,000 people.
We want to change that. Visit us Delmont Public Library to get updated information on our campaign and join us in taking action! Together, we can ensure that our water is conserved for residents first – not fracking.
We would love to have your support and time to join in our work!
