About the Event

This June will mark the 5 year anniversary of Pennsylvania’s 43rd Statewide Grand Jury Report on the unconventional oil and gas industry. Led by Governor Shapiro (then Attorney General), this investigation announced what Pennsylvanians living in the shale fields already knew: our government had failed to properly regulate fracking and protect residents from harm. The grand jury found severe violations of our constitutional rights to clean air and water and made 8 recommendations for better protections. Finally, those suffering thought there was hope for real change. But five years later, are we any better off?

Join us to review the Grand Jury’s recommendations for how PA can do better, assess our government’s progress, hear from affected residents and environmental health experts, ask questions, and plan for our future.
