PT Parents voice concerns to School Board
February 21, 2017

Members of Protect PT attended Penn-Trafford School Board's meeting on February 13, 2017 to present a Valentine made by children who live in the district, and provide information about the necessity of air monitoring.
Graber presented the board with letters (click names to read) from Dr. Marsha Haley, Radiation Oncologist at UPMC Cancer Center, and Dr. Beth Weinberger, with Southwest Pennsylvania Environmental Health Project. Initially, the board said it thought Apex's settlement with Penn Township and provisions to do air monitoring were sufficient. However, after the meeting, Superintendant Dr. Matthew Harris contacted Protect PT to say the district will assemble a subcommittee of no more than four board members in cooperation with Protect PT to discuss the matter further. Stay tuned for details.
