Penn Township has announced a special meeting 6 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2016 at 2001 Municipal Court, Harrison City, PA 15636.
According to a legal notice published November 30 in the Penn Franklin News, Penn Township plans to pass a resolution approving a global settlement of all outstanding state and federal lawsuits with Apex Energy, LLC. This will affect the pending appeals of the Beattie, Draftina and White ZHB decisions currently challenged by Apex at the Westmoreland County Court of Common Pleas. Additional, there is indication that a settlement would also affect the three sites that were “deemed approved” by Apex, the Drakulic, Deutsch, and Numis sites.
